CBIS (COMPUTER BASED SYSTEM INFORMATION)

ABSTRACT

The information system has many roles in an organization / institution / company include: participating in the execution of routine tasks; linking the planning, execution, and control systems; coordinate subsystems; and integrating existing subsystems. Apart from having a role, the information system has many capabilities as well, where the capabilities are expected to increase productivity, reduce certain costs, improve service to consumers, and no less important is the increase in decision making.
Output / output / result of the information system is information. User information can be categorized into three namely managers / leaders, non-managers, and people or organizations outside of the organization. Information resource is conceptual and occupied the same level of importance to other physical resources, namely human, material, machinery, and money.
A computer-based information systems have a clear pattern that the host system (super system), subsystems and subsubsistem up with the smallest system that can not be described again. The system uses hardware (hardware) and software (software) computer, procedure guidelines, models and decision management, and a "data base". In carrying out its information systems based on computer needs to consider a variety of support whether it comes from within the organization itself (internal) or from outside the organization (external) with the intention that the provision of information-based computer that does have an impact well for all activities of the company or not and whether outsiders of the organization in this case customers, suppliers, union groups, financial institus group, a group of shareholders, pemeritah institutions, community groups and groups global competitors (competitors) support or not ready to jointly run the system.
Companies or organizations that succeed in this era of globalization is a company that is able to obtain the information from the data processing, the data can flow from a variety of sources such as: consumers who buy products or services, the seller who provides goods, banks, government institutions, etc. , From the data obtained from various sources, it is further processed by the various components are interlinked with each other so that it becomes a useful information for the company or organization in decision-making.
